GAY O'TOOLE
Gay
trained in Fine Art at Dublin's college of Art and Design. He
has since established himself as a very well known and respected
artist throughout Ireland, taking part in many solo and group
exhibitions. Gay works mainly with water colour but can teach
anything, and the influence of the landscape and its light is
strongly reflected in his paintings. He is a natural teacher with a
great sense of humour and we are pleased to welcome him on
board.
DAVID CHANDLER
29 May - 5 June & 5 - 12 June 2010

David
is returning to Studio Paradiso for his fifth year in 2010 and
we are very pleased to be welcoming him back. David has a great
personality and our guests find his relaxed teaching style both
encouraging and enjoyable. He has been teaching painting groups
in France, Italy, Marrakech & the Lake District since 1999. You may
have seen him in action on Channel 4, or maybe you have heard him
lecture at your local art club. After seven years in  community
education in Somerset, David decided to go it alone - a wise move,
as around 85 people a week  attend his private classes. He has also
just produced his very own dvd! You can see his own work on the
web at:
www.davidchandler.net.
HEIDI NGUYEN
28 August - 4 September & 4 - 11 September

Heidi is returning for her third year at Studio Paradiso in 2009. She
trained at Atelier de Penninghen Art College in Paris and then
worked as an Illustrator and Graphic Designer for ten years before
moving to Ireland in 1996 to concentrate on her painting. She has
had numerous solo and group exhibitions and has established
herself as a well respected artist throughout Ireland. Working
predominantly in oils, Heidi runs weekly painting/ drawing classes in
her studio which are attended by all abilities, from beginners to
practising artists. Her students find her natural ability to teach very
relaxed and encouraging. We're sure you will too!

SUE MORRIS

We are delighted to welcome Sue Morris to Studio Paradiso.
Having trained at Chelsea School of Art and The Royal College of Art
in London, Sue has been working as an artist and teaching since
graduating in 1985. Since re-locating to Ireland fifteen years ago,
drawn by the beauty and wildness of the landscape and sense of
space, she has continued her own art practice as well as delivering
courses in adult education. Sue believes that everyone has the
ability to draw and paint. Enthusiasm, openness and encouragement
to all levels and abilities are core to her teaching ethos, along with
fun and exploration of approaches and media.
Paradiso tutors - One to one tuition. We like to keep our guest groups small so no more than ten
painters each week. Which leaves plenty of time for individual tuition.

IVAN MINTO NDD. ATD. Dip.AH
No stranger to Studio Paradiso, according to our visitors Ivan is
wonderful - immensely flexible - able to inspire all ages, all abilities.
He is a former high school art teacher who works closely with
each student, developing the natural talent and particular
aptitude that they already have. To quote Ivan: 'If you are
prepared to make a mark on paper, that's a valid starting point'.
Ivan is also a knowledgeable art historian. His slide shows are
brilliantly informative yet totally relaxed.

JASON HOWGATE BA. Hon
With an art college principal as a father, it's hardly surprising that
Jason lives and breathes painting. He is a natural teacher with a
relaxed manner, a wicked sense of humour and a direct approach.
Particularly good at inspiring confidence in beginners and steering
experienced painters in new directions. A week with Jason will be
an adventure.
