Do you like the idea of taking time away from your easel to learn all about the origins of Italian food?
Or are you a non-painting partner who would love to join in with a days cookery class?

At a small additional cost of just €50 per person (paid directly to the cook/ tutor) you can enjoy a wonderful day of tasting,
exploring, cooking and eating at Orsa’s wonderful cookery school in Borgo Personatina. Available with Programme B only!
Please ask for more details.

Please remember that no two weeks at Studio Paradiso are exactly alike,
depending on which programme you choose, the weather & the groups preference of activities.

Below is an
example of a typical week spent at Studio Paradiso on Programme A - running Saturday to Saturday.
The week on Programme B is very similar, except holidays run Friday to Friday and the sketching trips are to Siena,
Montereggioni & San Gimignano and market day in Siena is on Wednesday.

  • Saturday - FREE pick up from Pisa airport, or a nearby railway station. Tea and a welcome for everyone in the garden.
Time to settle into your room, relax or swim before dinner at the villa ,and your opportunity to talk over ideas for the
week ahead.
  • Sunday -  Tutor-led tour of the village, subject spotting as you go. Then a workshop session in the studio or outdoors.
After a break for lunch, and maybe a dip in the pool it's time to begin painting. Early evening drinks, then dinner at a lively
ristorante in nearby town.
  • Monday -  Our sketch day at the Bay Of Poets where you are free to sketch & paint, snack on a panini or enjoy a long, lazy
    lunch. Dinner in villa.
  • Tuesday - Market day in local town. The colours, movement and atmosphere make great sketch book material. Back to villa
for lunch & an afternoons painting.
  • Wednesday - A day of discovery in the studio or painting outdoors. Maybe an early tutorial with drinks.
Dinner at villa.
  • Thursday - Optional trip to Lucca. We take a slow train through spectacular countryside. Puccini's birthplace is a delightful
walled city with a wealth of sketchbook material, museums and fashionable shops. Alternatively, a day to paint or laze
by the pool.
  • Friday - Your last day to paint or draw. Late afternoon we offer the optional sketch trip to medieval village & castle nearby.
Early evening we open a few bottles of bubbly and put on an informal show of your week's work. Our farewell dinner could
be a barbecue served under the stars at villa.
  • Saturday - You say your farewells and we drop you off at Pisa airport. You may wish to leave your bags in left luggage at the
airport and take a direct bus into the city to explore.

On Programme A - Few guests resist an optional day in Lucca ~ an unspoilt medieval city with a heady mix of Tuscan
cultureand a lively cafe society. Great shops too!

All our trips are optional ~ you are more than welcome to stay at the villa and relax or paint.
